The purpose of the 8th Grade Career Fair is to introduce the 8th grade students throughout Grundy County to a wealth of career opportunities available in the county and to help steer students on their future educational and professional paths. In order to make the event both purposeful and interactive, 8th Grade students are expected to participate in career exploration activities before attending the fair. We ask that all businesses presenting at the fair plan for an interactive experience in which the students can explore the career field, ask questions, and learn directly by participating in a hands-on activity.
Over the past years, we have regularly had over 60 businesses participate as presenters at the fair. Business participation is vital for the continued success of this event. Each year, we look to grow and welcome as many participants as possible in order to expose students to the wide variety of professional paths located right here in their home towns.
